Render-Boy offers both solid modeling and ray-tracing rendering capabilities for high-quality graphics creation.
One of the great things about Render-Boy is that it is designed to be small and efficient, which means it runs smoothly on all PowerMacs. Despite its small size, it packs a powerful punch and is fully functional, even in unregistered versions. However, unregistered versions will display a white "X" on renderings created with Render-Boy. This doesn't limit your ability to test and evaluate the output, though, so you can still try it out and decide if it's right for you.
If you decide to invest in Render-Boy, the white "X" will disappear once you register the software. In addition to its existing features, Version 2.3.1 of Render-Boy now includes improved DXF 3D geometry support, which leads to faster rendering of DXF objects. Most users experience speed increases of 2X to 5X, making it quicker and easier than ever to create amazing 3D graphics. For example, rendering time for a sample image on a Dalmatian iMac was reduced from one hour to about 11 minutes thanks to the new improvements.
