3athlete is a software platform that facilitates workout data management through a user-friendly document-based interface. The tool is excellent for storing information about training and other sports-related activities.
I utilize a Polar heart rate monitor, which is why I included fields such as date, duration, length in kilometers, average speed, average heart rate, max heart rate, calories burned, and even a notes section for additional information. Everything is made to be simple to input and track, so that you can easily see your progress and stay motivated.
This program is optimized with the latest technology of Cocoa core data which enables two different document formats: Binary and XML. The Binary format is ideal for regular use as it is the quickest, and creates a data file with the ".tri" extension. Meanwhile, the XML format can be used to export your records into an open format. Saved copies will have the ".tri_xml" extension, and can be easily read through a text editor.
Overall, 3athlete is an excellent software for anyone looking to manage their workout data. With its user-friendly interface and data export functionalities, I can't recommend it enough!
