From time to time great ideas come to our minds, but often they slip away from our heads as quickly as they appeared. What may be done in this situation is to capture the ideas and thoughts, which may be important for our work and life in general.

The program BrainSorm is developed with the primary purpose to capture, refine and share our ideas and thoughts easily and quickly. Whether you need to table some events, make a presentation for your work or organize your thoughts for some creative activity, this program may become an indispensable helper for you. If you organize and present ideas in various forms, BrainStorm will make your life easier. All your ideas and any existing information will be captured and presented in the best way.

Personally me, I tried to use BrainStorm for putting down some useful for me information on the basis of Internet materials.

First of all, this program automatically grabbed information from the clipboard, it meant that all material I had to do with was highlighted and copied by BrainStorm. Also, I could include valid e-mail, web, file or program addresses, and activate them directly with so called Magic Launch.

A web-publish button created an HTML version of my work and it was navigable in a similar way to BrainStorm itself. I could even embed extra HTML code to change fonts, add pictures, hotlinks and so on. Another option allowed me to switch off the clever stuff and output the file as a simple HTML outline.

While working with Word, Power Point and some other programs, I output my work to these programs through the clipboard or a file. Many programs accept tabbed outlines as an input format. BrainStorm's File Open command is intelligent enough to extract meaningful information from any file. It particularly likes outlines because it can re-create the original hierarchy. Exporting to PowerPoint is simply a case of adding an empty line between each slide.

Speaking about the work with BrainStorm step by step I should say that when you start the program you see the heading area containing an editable title for your work. Either the title is highlighted or the dot icon is selected. To move on to the procedure itself you can open a file, paste or type to get information in. If typing, you may press enter to complete each entry. Then, you can make a list, getting your ideas and information in quickly. Any entry in the list can be the heading of its own list. It is useful if you like to work in a structured way.

Thus, you can capture information from your computer screen, organising and reorganising demanded information. It remains only type away as your thoughts fly by.

BrainStorm gives you masses of tools to crank up your personal productivity. Enjoy it!

Great program for organizing one's thoughts quickly. I planned my company's entire annual Marketing and Communications Plan in one thirty-minute session, then transferred the architecture to PowerPoint. Very user friendly. Could use some graphical renderings -- perhaps in future versions? Works a bit like mind-mapping and brainstorming put together, you just type away as your thoughts fly by. Strongly recommended for anyone, including the planning of private events like a party or large corporate events.
