Software for public search of any records. StorXit provides for simple setup of public self-help retail store computers. The public computer can be setup anywhere. No network connection required. Easy acceptance. Easy to use! Totally intuitive! No instructions needed! The public searches any data you supply and can also open optional pictures. They canâ€™t resist clicking a button that opens a picture of each item. The idle computer displays a "You Are Here" map, sales specials or other graphic you supply. The display is totally changeable in the setup dialog. It provides the customer with simple one button intuitive usage. Search results are obtained by entering words in the text box at the top of the screen.
Pictures are viewed with a button incorporated in the data that is obviously for that purpose. The search method is familiar to everyone. Setup requires no special computer training. SETUP: The data searched can be from any spreadsheet, database or IndexXit file. The public computer can be running Windows 95, 98, NT4, ME, 2000 or XP. All text on the public computer display is peculiar to the file being run. The public sees only this display. Text displayed for the customer can be in languages other than English.
HOLDS MULTIPLE DATA FILES: The setup dialog file list allows a selection of data files by the administrator. Updated files are added and the public display changed in a matter of minutes. Daily specials can be prepared in advance. The data font and font size displayed is adjustable. A timer automatically clears the display. OPTIONAL: StorXit can be set to operate on ordinary computers for quick search of a particular data set. Ideal for fast data retrieval such as advising customers at retail store front counters.
