Blaxton Video Capture is a video capture software solution using video for windows drivers. It is compatible with most imaging devices that come with a WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver. This includes webcams, capture cards and Camcorders through a Firewire (IEEE 1394) interface.
Blaxton Video Capture requires the the DirectX 9.0b runtime libraries.
It can use a PCs serial port, or USB port with serial port adaptor, to apply an external trigger to instigate video start and stop and video recording start and stop. The recording start and stop can have a time delay applied if necessary. This allows for video control from PIR devices or industrial processes; this feature allows the easy capture of processes which may be inaccessible to an operator.
The wiring of the 9-pin socket is available from the Blaxton Computing web site.
The video start/stop and recording start/stop can also be controlled manually. The video can be overlayed with date and time and description.
The software can also be used as a millscope display solution. Box and cross overlays can be used to check the centres of rolling mill guides and custom "pixel" overlays can also be produced to represent guide profiles. Normal gif, bmp or jpg images can also be overlayed on the video.
Live video can be broadcast over a network or internet to any PC with Microsoft Media Player 9 installed or to the free Blaxton Video Receiver available from the Blaxton Computing Web Site.
Blaxton Video Capture is SHAREWARE and as such can be used for 30 days to allow for evaluation. If the program is retained and used after 30 days it should be registered.
