BGS periodically retrieves an image from the Web and sets it as your wallpaper, so, for example, you could have an up-to-date satellite weather map on your desktop at all times.

It could also be used to schedule the download and display of images taken by various live cameras located around the Web. If you connect to a BGS/IS server, you can choose pictures by subjects.

BGS automatically converts JPG and GIF files to BMP, and it can be used to load images from your local hard drive.
