XStandard is a WYSIWYG editor that is typically integrated into browser- or Windows-based content management systems. Non-technical authors use XStandard to manage rich content.



XStandard is the first commercially available WYSIWYG editor to generate XHTML 1.1 code. XHTML 1.1 is the latest W3C recommendation. It restricts the role of tags in markup to defining structure and uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for formatting. The result is the total separation of data from presentation, which is essential for the re-purposing of data by non-desktop devices and accessibility applications.



Business users reference the appropriate CSS by selecting from XStandard's intuitive drop-down menu of styles. They can also apply custom tags to selected elements of content, offering endless opportunities to enrich raw data with semantics.
