QuickFire is a online and offline development systems that enables you to write applets either locally, or remotely from any computer connected to the Internet. QuickFire applets are suitable for displaying on your web pages whereever a Java applets can be used. QuickFire produces Java class files but that is where the similarity ends. QuickFire is a completely new programming language, which is nearer to 'C' than Java. QuickFire comprises of an editor, interpreter, compilers and various other utilities.
It also contains a compact run time library complete with an integrated Sprite engine with support for Rotation, Collision Detection, Scaling and Animation.
The development environment can be run locally on your own computer or directly over the Internet using a Java enabled Internet Browser which connects to your remote computer. You needn't be worried about the time to start QuickFire over the Internet since it should only take between 16-20 seconds to load on a standard 56K/bit dialup modem. Your QuickFire system can be accessed whenever and wherever you have access to the Internet.
QuickFire uses HTTP tunnelling so you shouldn't have problems accessing it from behind a corporate firewall. Your lunchtimes needn't be wasted again!
