Read and write Kanji teaches every basic kanji and teaches them in way in which you draw them and also teaches their meaning, before i bought it i was having hard time finding a good supply for learning japanese and the only other option i knew was Kanjikit's Kantaro which was divided in three volumes and each volume was far more expensive then buying the complete declan japanese bundle (read and write hiragana, katakana, kanji, japanese dictionary and japanese flashcard). Not to mention that Kantaro only teaches a total 700 kanji (counting all three volumes) while read and write kanji teaches a total of 1945.Of course i understand that it seems kantaro teaches it's kanji in a better way with games and sound. But the over expensive price and the fact that it teaches only 700 basic kanji rather than read and write which teaches 1945 and costs much less. Not to mention that it's very functional and user friendly. In my opininion the only problem is in the registration area and the problem is that as you update the program eventually the day comes when your serial number no longer works than you have to send them an email asking a new serial number(for free) but it's something a bit annoying but it's worth it. My advice is if you wish to learn kanji buy this program and if you're trying to learn either hiragana or katakana they have read and write katakana and hiragana which are great for the beginner as well as their japanese dictionary and japanese flashcard. And this ends my review and good luck learning japanese.
