The game can be easily renamed into Kill Chickens 2. These chickens have already tried to conquer the Earth (Part 1) and now they aim at the total of 11 planets of our Solar System. They are root of all evil and we must stop them, or soon, and very soon, Solar System would be inhabited by Chickens only.

This doesn't look good. Someone will have to clean up the mess.

You have been destined to save our Solar System. If you have a friend to play with, he has been destined too: it can be one/two-player game. These chickens are cunning fellows and get prepared for actions properly.

So, there are 11 planets to repulse enemies from their shores. Each level is made up from 10 waves. Your task is upright. Fire your spaceship guns at chickens, dodge falling eggs and other dangerous celestial bodies. Catch bonuses to get more chances to stay alive, get more advanced weapons and complete your mission. That's it; no strategies and tactics. You win when you've gone through all 110 waves.

As you might have already understood, Chicken Invaders is a game to play when you have nothing better to do. If this is your case, chose it, as you won't regret. A nice design. The setting is space, but the colors are bright. The introduction and images are witty. Chickens appear in solidary rows and semicircles in the best traditions of classical ballet. They are in good spirits, vivaciously flap their wings and scatter eggs. Silly birds: their optimistic faces seem to express misunderstanding at your shots.

I certainly like both the idea and graphics. As we advance, though, our opponents grow to be much more serious and hostile. Yeah, "A la guerre comme a la guerre!"

As for the game's options, to play with a friend is much more fun than to bump off chickens on one's own. A choice how to deal with Lives (Individual/Shared) is provided: individuals live their own separate lives, collectivists share lives and win or lose being a team. Both Rookies and Veterans will find levels to test their proficiency. Chickens at the Veteran level move quicker, live longer, and throw their eggs faster. Fewer bonuses to help you are given, but three times as many points as at the Rookie level are possible.

We can use the keyboard, the mouse, a joystick or a gamepad to control the game. To please vanity, there exist lists of top results and you can add your high scores from directly within the game.

By the way, have you heard that chickens all over the world protest against the use of their images without prior permission, as well as the race discrimination? Hurry up to try the game till it's called politically incorrect.
