As is stated on the game developer’s website, the game Tri-Towers is “a real alternative for all solitair cardgames”, and I completely agree with this statement.

Cardgames still are of great interest nowadays. Software developers follow this tendency and create more new versions of card games. This time the game Tri-Towers by German developer Bksoft fell in my hands.

A few words about the game rules. Having read the brief description on the developer’s website, I did not understand exactly how to play this game. But I quickly got used to it when I started the game for the first time. To control the game process only mouse is required. The rules are actually very simple, and the system of scores is getting clear during the game. For even more convenience there is a training mode that lets you play the game without time limits.

As to functionality, German quality is known all over the world, and this game is a good example of considered convenient interface and accurate bug-less operation. The convenient interface is supplemented with a nice design, including small animation elements. All control items are of consistent style, therefore this game is just pleasing to play.

Additionally, you can choose a card back picture from an extensive list.

One more advantage of the Tri-Towers game is that the developer provided the game with unobtrusive sounds for various game actions such as a card displacement, bonus, extra life, beginning of a new level, etc. But for all that there are fortunately no background monotonous midi-melodies which could have been tired of while playing.

As I mentioned above, the Tri-Towers game was developed in Germany, that’s why beside English interface language there is German interface language as well. For me this is an additional minor advantage because I study German at the moment.

One might ask why I have not mentioned any disadvantages of the game. Truly speaking, the only disadvantage that I have noticed is that the time of starting and closing of the game takes about 4 seconds on PIII, that is a little bit long for such a rather simple program. But after start of the program the game operates without any delays, thus I suggest you to pay no attention to this thing.

As to technical details, the Tri-Towers game is shareware and runs 10 times, that is quite enough to assess all functions of the program. After paying $14.95 you get a registration number that should be entered in the program. This registration number allows you to play the game without the limitations of the shareware mode, as well as to download future releases of the game free of charge.

Concluding, I would like to note, that because of all the mentioned advantages of the Tri-Towers game it is getting difficult to tear yourself away of playing it. This fact shows that the developer successfully reached his main goal – one want to play Tri-Towers again and again!
