Publisher's Description

Interesting, fascinating game, realistic – simulation of fishing. There is big variety of fish, each which has its own behaviour.

In this game you have an opportunity to perfect your equipment - fishing-rod, hook, bob, bait, spoon bait, and fishing-line. You can play in full-screen mode, reduced window mode, and also you can minimize the game. In minimized mode the image of the bob will appear on your monitor, and will tell you when you have a bite.

Such a possibility gives you time to do other things if fish don't nibble or if you are trying to catch very big fish, which always takes much time and patience. 53 different types of fish. Competition spirit in the game during all the time. To have play in new location you need to get 150 points. The beautiful water will not leave you unaffected.

There are 28 different locations each with beautiful landscape s and splendid music will help you to relax

Masterpiece Fishing 2 is indeed a beautiful game. The scenery and water effects are stunning. There are a couple of points that I feel prevent the game from being excellent. First is the annoying "Fish Locator" that appears on the screen. Not only does it obscure the beautiful graphics, it is downright annoying. An electronic fish locator when one is fishing from the bank? Idiotic. A feature allowing the user to TURN OFF and HIDE the "Fish Finder" would improve the game immensely. Second is the simplicity of the game itself. Rarely must one wait more than one minute before one has a hit. Hardly realistic. Rather than accruing points to "upgrade" rod, line and lure, a better design would allow the user to choose from several rod, lure and line set-ups (a la Fly Sim; a superb game). To be able to choose a different rod/line/lure set-up (for example, fly rod, bait casting, etc) and have LOCATIONS locked until meeting a goal would be a vast improvement. The bobber, I realize, is integral to the game; but there should be a less basic means available to know when one "has a hit." The line tension guage should be sufficient when not desiring to use a bobber. There should also be different levels available: novice, experienced and accomplished options would be nice. A selection of fish for other geographical areas - North America, for instance - would be most welcome. Lastly, the rod floating in mid-air should be replaced with an "angler's view" of the rod. Overall, a very good game, and a bargain at $14.95; however, I'd gladly pay more for some of the features mentioned above. Masterpiece Fishing 2 is a good game with the potential of being excellent.
