About blank is a setting so that your Internet Explorer will not automatically bring up an ad, like MSN advertisement etc. If you want IE to call up automatically an ad, you can type it in that search block instead of the about blank. by BK on Jul 19, 2002

This is a brilliant product. It blocks everything. Unlike other products I try, there is no need to 'program' it and it doesn't block blank windows either. This is by far the best pop-up stopper I have tried. As for the other guy with the about:blank problem. Go to Internet options and change it in there!! by Bob Davis on Mar 17, 2002
I've tried many other popup killers and this is the only one that realy works. It does not interfere with user's navigation.
