3 was completely reprogrammed to be a plug-in system.

this mean? 

A plugin
enables softwares to expand and grow without changing the core of them. It
also enables developers to develop the softwares for their own requirements.

So Basically,

A Modules
(*.dll files) can be created and added to Visual KIX.  So if you are
looking for options that Visual KIX doesn't currently offer then you can
have your programmers or ours create this file and then you can Easily

ADD it to Visual KIX. 
*.dll files are usually small and do not take very long to write.
