Nomad News is a newsgroup reader that makes it easy to browse and download files from binary newsgroups.

Nomad's interface makes it easy to tag a series of articles or newsgroups for downloading. Once you click the 'download tagged' button, the program starts downloading using up to eight simultaneous connections. Thumbnail images are displayed as downloading progresses, with multi-part images automatically reassembled.

There are various options that allow articles to be tagged automatically based on author, file size, subject keywords and more. There are also screening and filtering options. Downloads are tracked so that re-posted articles are ignored. Multi-part postings are automatically re-assembled. If your Internet connection is lost, Nomad can automatically re-dial.
