Opal is a system color palette tool.

You can look up the color and index of any pixel on the desktop, monitor the system color palette, save the system palette as a bitmap or a text file, copy the system palette to the clipboard, and reset the system palette. It is useful when you are creating graphics using the color palette of another application, such as Netscape Navigator.
