Paint Shop Pro with Animation Shop provides a rich and extensive set of tools for photo retouching, painting, image enhancement, and animation.
Paint Shop Pro offers a large number of painting tools, image editing tools, special effects, selection tools, masking options, color enhancement tools, and image viewing options. You can capture screens or areas of the screen and browse thumbnail images. The program supports a large number of vector and bitmapped file formats. For converting image formats, you simply load an image and save it in a new format, or use the batch conversion tool.
Animation Shop 3.0, a full-featured tool for creating animated GIFs, is also included.
Other features of Paint Shop Pro include: layers support; realistic picture tube brushes; accurate CMYK color separations; and support for TWAIN-compliant scanners, Kodak Digital cameras, Adobe plug-ins, and pressure-sensitive tablets.
This newest beta offers intelligent photo enhancement features, including quick removal of red-eye, noise, scratches dust and specks. The drawing tools have been improved, with: shapes, lines, and text that now support gradients, patterns, and textures on the fill and stroke styles; styled lines with dots, dashes, and arrowheads; snap-to grids and guides; support for creating complex images with vectors; a preset shapes tool; and new special effects. Other improvements include a re-vamped zoom tool, the ability to save workspace files to your preference, the ability to repeat previous commands, and an auto-save command.
