At the same time I decided to use my favourite music for this movie. That's why I also captured some songs from CD and added them as audio tracks in PowerDirector in the same way as I did with webcam record.

After having obtained the media file, my next step was to add them into the Library (where they become media "clips") in order to make them available for my movie. In general, once clips are loaded, it is possible to change the display of media clips in the Library and delete unnecessary clips.

From my point of view, working with effects was probably the most exciting part of video editing. I could radically change the appearance of media clips or transition from one scene to another.

On the whole, with the help of the option "Edit" you can add many different types of effects to clips in the Timeline, including video effects, title effects, PiP (picture-in-picture) effects, and video transition effects.

Also, while editing, you can use a number of different functions: you can, for example, trim unwanted sections from video or audio clips, increase or decrease the speed of a video clip, or apply a special effect.

After my movie was completely edited, it was the time to produce your movie. Producing a movie simply meant compiling the separate elements, which were contained into one playable movie file. Here, PowerDirector had several options to produce a movie.

Using the option "Burn" I put my movie to disk, in this way, afterwards, it was possible to enjoy watching it on a computer or a disk player.

Also, you can produce your movie as a file that you can watch on your computer. PowerDirector allows you to create files in AVI, MPEG-1, or MPEG-2 format.

I should say that when the process of creating my own film was accomplished, I wasn't completely satisfied with the result, because of some problems connected with sound. But I think that it may be related mostly to my inexperience than with the disadvantage of the program.

As a whole, I came to the conclusion that if you have no experience of making movies, this easiest video editing software will provide you with a simple tool to help to do something a little more creative with your home video.
