bProtected 2000 provides you with security at the lowest operating system level by using a file-based, preventive protection scheme.

bProtected features four protection levels: completely hiding selected files and folders, blocking access to selected files and folders, allowing read-only access, or simply monitoring their data usage.

It supports single- and multiple-user security protection; automatically generates an activity log; enables you to set an authorized access time-out; and lets you define safe-modules for excluding security restrictions.

The program also includes an emergency disk creation utility and an optional 'Stealth Mode' execution, and can run as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
