asMon is a Linux system monitor designed for afterstep, but compatible with other window managers. It provides real-time system statistics and performance data to help users better manage their system resources.
AsMon excels in showing accurate and precise memory usage and load average. The CPU bar is familiar, and next to it, the current load average is displayed. The software also features a second bar that represents memory usage as a whole. The shared memory area is displayed before the first tick, followed by the buffered memory area between two ticks, and the cached memory area from the second tick to the end of the bar. The number to the right indicates the number of megabytes that are currently being used.
The third bar illustrates the amount of swap file used and the exact number of megabytes that the swap file is currently utilizing. In addition, the bottom right corner displays the page and swap LED's taken from wmsysmon, while the uptime is displayed on the right.
AsMon is based on Timecop's wmcpu, and the latest release supports Kernel 2.6 and includes various bug fixes. Overall, AsMon is an excellent system monitor software that provides users with accurate and detailed information about their system performance.
