This MFC extension library facilitates the creation of customizable toolbars, menus, and keyboard features for developing Microsoft Office-like applications.
When it comes to toolbars, BCGControlBar includes features like fully customizable flat toolbars, support for larger icons, a pager button that lets users access commands outside the screen, and locked toolbars. You can also create auto-generated keyboard shortcuts names in menus and tooltips, use rebar support, and add built-in combobox buttons and editbox buttons to your toolbars.
Menus in BCGControlBar come with dockable menu bars with images, the option to show recently used menu items similar to Microsoft Office 2000, and menu animations, shadows, and tooltips. Further customization options allow for scrollable menus and the ability to change menu fonts in run-time.
BCGControlBar also includes other control bars such as Microsoft Office-like dialog bars, resizable docked control bars with expanding panes, persistent rebars, 3D and flat tab controls, and a sample shortcut bar in a Microsoft Outlook style.
Notably, BCGControlBar lets you customize various other aspects of your application as well, including context menus, mouse events, and drag-and-drop buttons between toolbars and menus. A simple bitmap editor is also included, along with static and UNICODE libraries.
Finally, if you're working collaboratively with speakers of other languages, BCGControlBar has been translated to Russian, French, Italian, German, Japanese, and Korean for even greater versatility.
