Diff Commander is a folder comparison and file synchronization software that offers enhanced flexibility and usability. Users can customize file masks and synchronization rules to achieve virtually any synchronization task.
Then I was introduced to Diff Commander, which takes folder comparison and file synchronization to an entirely different level of flexibility and usability. Diff Commander has its interface, displaying files and folders as a tree on two panes. It supports compressed archives, shows differences in color on both panes and allows recursive comparison of folders.
What sets Diff Commander apart, however, is its ability to provide numerous settings to fine-tune the comparison. Users can filter files by masks, skip hidden and system files, turn recursion on and off, and much more. But the best feature of Diff Commander is the ability to define synchronization rules. The program alerts users of every file that differs and needs copying or moving as per the rules. Users can synchronize all files at once or choose to synchronize a single file.
Users can store all settings in profiles and create different profiles for different projects. Additionally, the program can also be used for batch comparisons. Users can create a text file with folder names, and Diff Commander will perform comparison and synchronization automatically. Overall, I highly recommend Diff Commander to anyone who is looking for a comprehensive, feature-rich file synchronization tool.
