Fedora 10 Re-Spins was released on February 10th, 2009. It is a software update that provides enhanced security and performance for Fedora 10, without the need to perform a full installation. The update includes a new kernel and a number of bug fixes.
Fedora Unity has taken on the task of Re-Spinning to offer the Community the opportunity to install Fedora Core with recent updates, which might otherwise require several hundred megabytes of downloads. As a Community project, by the Community, for the Community, users can contribute to the project by seeding the torrent after their download has completed or by joining the test process.
The Fedora Unity Project follows the agile approach of “release early and release often” and aims to provide new Re-Spins from mid-month to start testing and final snapshots about a week before the release, throughout the life of each Fedora Core release until that release is transferred to Fedora Legacy. All released ISO images undergo a 15-point matrix test to ensure that the quality standards of the Fedora community are met.
If you're interested in supporting the testing or seeding efforts, please contact the Fedora Unity team. Fedora 10 Re-Spin is a fine software that promises quality performance and ease-of-use. This software is essential to create an efficient and effective workflow, and therefore, highly recommended.
