Fedora 8 Re-Spin is a software package that is derived from Fedora Core 8, which contains all of the updates that were released prior to August 14th, 2008.
With the Re-Spin task taken up by the Fedora Unity team, users can now install Fedora Core with recent updates, which would have otherwise been multiple hundred megabytes of downloads, included. This is a project created by the community, for the community. By seeding the torrent after the download is complete or joining the test process, users can contribute to the community.
The Fedora Unity Project aims to release early and release often, with new Re-Spins available each month during the lifespan of each Fedora Core release until it is transferred to Fedora Legacy. To begin testing, mid-month snapshots are taken. About a week before the release, final snapshots are taken. All released ISO images are tested using a 15-point test matrix to ensure that the Fedora community receives the quality it expects.
If you're interested in helping with the testing or seeding efforts, please contact the Fedora Unity team.
