The Floatator software is an interactive simulation program for fluid dynamics. With its advanced features, it provides users with an immersive and engaging experience of fluid movement and behavior in real-time.
Originally programmed on HP-PA and SGI machines, Floatator Project uses X-Motif for visualization. What's unique about this software is that its fluid dynamics simulation core is derived from the course work called "Praktikum wissenschaftliches Rechnen", conducted by Prof. Zenger and Dr. Griebel at TU-München. The author of Floatator Project participated in this course with Tobias Völkl.
To demonstrate the capabilities of the software, an interactive visualization wrapper has been added to serve as a demo for the fluid dynamics course of Ferien-Akademie/Sarntal, conducted by Prof. Zenger and Prof. Durst. This means that Floatator Project has been tried and tested in academic environments, and can provide you with a reliable simulation experience.
