This software is a user-friendly GTK+ interface for the Squid proxy server.
To install GADMIN-SQUID, you must follow specific instructions that include proper configure options. For instance, you might use the following options: ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --sbindir=/usr/sbin. For a proper installation on a GNU/Linux system that follows the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS), you can refer to the Autoinstall file for more flexibility and src/system_defines.c when porting.
To compile the source after the configure stage completes error-free, run "make" on the command line. Finally, to install the program and data files, use "make install" for the final stage.
GADMIN-SQUID currently supports various systems, including Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Darwin Mac OSX, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and SunOS, though to varying degrees. Therefore, if you're using any of the supported systems, GADMIN-SQUID can benefit you significantly.
