Gnome Predict is a GNOME-compatible software that enables real-time satellite tracking.
One of the standout features of Gpredict is that it's licensed under the GNU General Public License, which means you have the freedom to use, distribute, and modify it as you see fit. However, keep in mind that the software comes with no warranty from the authors.
As for the program itself, Gpredict is still in development but offers some solid features already. It can track a large number of satellites, display data in lists or maps, and you can have multiple lists and maps open at the same time. The flexibility of this program means you can have some of the features in a notebook and some in their windows.
The lists can be sorted and the maps can be saved and printed. You can also make brief or detailed predictions of upcoming passes, and each pass can be plotted in a radial plot. These predictions and plots can be saved and printed as well.
In the latest release, the flexible module layout has been implemented, giving users more options for how they want to display data. Additionally, the pass prediction dialogs have been improved with more parameters, making it easier to plan satellite observations.
