HelloWorldScreenlet is a demo screenlet exclusively for developers and not recommended for regular users.
For those unfamiliar with screenlets, it is both a set of independently-developed widget applications and a widget engine that powers them. The engine mainly operates on X11-based compositing window managers, such as the Compiz architecture on Linux. Before version 0.0.14, Python and SVG languages were used to script and draw the screenlets respectively. Since then, web widgets coded in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS have been supported, making it similar to Apple's Dashboard widgets.
To run this screenlet, you need to have Screenlets available. The latest release of HelloWorldScreenlet fixes a possible memory leak in the draw_text() function and allows you to use font types and specify the width of the "drawing area" in the same function.
