iPiece is a software program that allows users to magnify the area surrounding their cursor. It helps users with visual impairments or those who need a closer look at their work.
To use iPiece, your Macintosh device should be compatible with Mac OS X 10.4. However, for optimal performance, the software makes use of OpenGL. Macintosh devices with graphic cards capable of supporting Quartz Extreme can enjoy the full benefits of iPiece.
In this release, iPiece has made some incredible upgrades. There is now an option to gray out the screen around the magnified area to give you a clearer view of the area. You can also customize the crosshair thickness to your liking. Furthermore, you can choose the accent color of iPiece from a list of 6 colors, with the crosshair's colors will now invert if you choose to invert the magnifier.
The preferences UI has also undergone a revamp for better ease of use, and the software now sets itself to start up at login the first time it's launched, which you can turn off anytime. Overall, the iPiece software is an excellent utility to enhance your viewing convenience, especially for those with visual impairments.
