JPasswords is encrypted database software designed for secure password management.
This software allows you to organize your password entries within groups that can be nested and displayed in tree or table view. Retrieving your password is made easy through the "copy to clipboard" function, which quickly makes your password or username available in other applications. Additionally, JPasswords comes with several file management services such as copy, merge, backup and restore, making it a pleasure to use.
JPWS is compatible with Password Safe (Version 2) files, created by CounterPane's program of the same name, and supports Unicode, platform- and locale-independent text and passphrase formatting. The software also features automatic backup and manual backup and restore for enhanced data security, as well as automatic program locking, idle time and minimize for effective application security.
With JPasswords, you also get automatic random password generation under various aspects, multiple GUI Languages (English, German, Russian, French), and compatibility with CSV format (RFC-4180 or spreadsheet) for records export and import.
The latest release of JPasswords features an easy import/export of existing user data via CSV text format, and the database encryption is based on Blowfish CBC (Password Safe V2). The software requires JRE 1.4.2 or better for optimal performance.
Overall, JPasswords is an excellent password management software that is user-friendly, secure, and reliable.
