Mail::Toaster installs a complete mail server software suite with a comprehensive set of features.
The following key features are available in Mail::Toaster – SMTP Mail Server with SMTP-AUTH, chk-user, SPF, TLS, tarpitting, and RBL, Virtual Domain Hosting with delegated administration, Virtual Domain Users, Mailing List (Ezmlm), AutoResponder, Web-based E-Mail (Sqwebmail, Squirrelmail, V-Webmail), web-based domain administration, Mail Filtering (rbls, SpamAssassin, simscan, Qmail-Scanner), Virus Scanning (ClamAV, F-Prot, Uvscan), SMTP roaming via SMTP-AUTH, POP-AUTH, & IMAP-AUTH, SMTP roaming via SMTP-submission (port 587), POP3, POP3-SSL, IMAP, IMAP-SSL (Courier IMAP), CGI frontend to mail features, Log processing and pretty graphs (via RRDutil), Auto-Installs of MySQL, Apache, phpMyAdmin, and more, Centralized configuration files, Support for clusters of qmail servers, and Builds SSL certs for Apache, Qmail, & Courier.
Security is a top priority in Mail::Toaster as the system supports secure connections from the email client (via POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and webmail) to the server. All emails sent across servers are encrypted if the remote email server supports it. The result is a fully encrypted path from the email sender to the recipient if two Mail::Toast servers and SSL are in use.
Mail::Toaster has the latest filtering technology, blocking all viruses and detecting up to 85% of spam by default. With some training, email filtering accuracy can reach 99%.
The framework is flexible, allowing organizations to configure Mail::Toaster as per their specific requirements. Organizations can also migrate existing systems to Mail::Toaster and enjoy its flexibility across diverse environments and OS platforms.
There is an active and thriving support community available on the mailing list and web forums. If an organization requires additional support, commercial support is also available.
The most recent update to Mail::Toaster includes several enhancements to its infrastructure, such as 'use warnings' pragma in several modules, updated Copyright dates to 2007, added multiple modules to build_requires in Build.PL, added suffixes to tests in t/DNS.t to identify failed tests easily, updated inc/Module/Install to 0.68, renamed the only sub to _only in CGI.pm, fixed package install logic in Mysql.pm, updated dovecot patch in Setup.pm, removed passing of mysql args to FreeBSD port install, added missing pod doc for file_mode in Utility.pm.
