This software enables you to access your iTunes library online.
To begin using MusicPort, you must run MusicDaemon on the music server where the music you want to access resides. MusicDaemon uses an XML file and the music files organized by iTunes. On the other hand, MusicServer must be run on the computer where you want to listen to the music.
Once connected to the daemon, MusicServer downloads the music database. After this, you will notice an item named "MusicServer" that will appear in your iTunes library. This item is your "remote" library that you can use just as if it were locally available.
It's important to note that MusicPort is still in beta, meaning that the interface may need refinement and there may be some crashes to be resolved. However, it's fully functional and will serve its purpose well.
