The PKT GUI project is an XML-driven packet archiver that includes parity.
pkt gui output is standard 7-bit ASCII, which is UTF encoded and compatible with XML parsers. If necessary, pkt gui files can be disassembled and reassembled by hand. The software also supports 8-bit compressed XML packets, and will always try to use the best algorithms available.
Some of the standout features of pkt gui include: ASCII or Binary (Compressed) XML Packet Archiving, BZIP2 Compression System, Variable LDPC Parity Protection & Data Recovery, NIST FIPS-197 AES 256-bit Encryption System, RIPEMD 160-bit Secure Hashing Algorithm, DoD 5220.22-M (CLEAR) Secure File Wiping, and support for cross platform (64-bit ready, if platform supported).
Other features include legacy TAR,TGZ,JAR,ZIP,TBZ2 archive support, basic utilities including calc, clock, conv, hexed etc., pluggable CLI or Thinlet XML GUI Interface, UUEncoding & UUDecoding Plugins, SSH/SCP/STUN & VNC Support provided by external snapin, fully multithreaded / multitasking GUI, and file merging, hashing, crlf conversion and copying utilities included. The software is also secure, with a cryptographically signed JAR distribution.
All you need to use pkt gui is Java. In the latest pre-release version of the software, various bug fixes and improvements have been made. Once the final release is up, you'll be able to enjoy pkt gui's functionality even more.
