PolarViewer is a software that allows viewing of exercise files recorded using Polar heart rate monitors.
If you're looking to take your workouts to the next level by organizing your exercises and creating statistics, you can use the SportsTracker application together with PolarViewer. A compatibility list for heartrate monitors is available, which includes popular models such as the Polar S610(i), S710(i), S720i, and S725. Other Polar monitors may possibly work as well but haven't been tested. Feedback from users is always welcomed.
It's worth noting that while the application itself isn't able to receive the exercise files from the Polar device and store them on your computer, there's an excellent tool called s710 (written by Dave Bailey) that can do this for you.
To use PolarViewer, you'll need to meet a few requirements: Mono >= 1.0.6, Gtk# >= 1.9.2, and (s710 >= 0.19).
One of the latest updates to PolarViewer includes improved HAC4 support by Ilja Booij, as well as initial support for raw Polar RS200SD exercise files by Jacob Ilsoe Christensen. Bugfixes and workarounds have also been added, so PolarViewer now works with Mono > 1.1.13.
Overall, PolarViewer is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to take a closer look at their exercise data and create detailed diagrams. Just make sure to meet the necessary requirements and use s710 to transfer data from your Polar device.
