PreMaster CD shares the same engine that all Sonic Studio's products use, ensuring the best fidelity.
PreMaster CD uses Sonic Studio's familiar and accessible NGC user interface, which allows any Mac running OS 10.4 to open, play back, edit, and adjust audio files' gain. The software offers compliant DDP image file sets that only soundBlade and PreMaster CD can save back to disk. PreMaster CD creates "CD refs" in the background, freeing up your system to do other tasks. These CD-Digital Audio formatted discs play on any audio CD transport worldwide.
Some of PreMaster CD's key features include saving to DDP, fast and easy editing with the advanced Smart Fade Tool™, and breakpoint-based gain adjustment to even out track-to-track amplitude. The software opens AIFF, WAV, BWF, and SD2 44.1 kHz interleaved files at 16 to 24 bits and optionally opens DDP file sets for rework and repurposing. PreMaster CD provides essential PQ editing, including UPC/EAN and ISRC, and automatically generates and validates PQ subcodes in real time. The user can decide on track spacing with fully manual and assisted PQ generation.
PreMaster CD creates CD-DA-formatted Orange Book "audio" CD-Rs in the background and supports CD text, including album title and artist, and track name and artist. The software automatically creates track name and artist from project metadata. The software allows for re-sequencing CD tracks with drag and drop functionality, and it saves version 2-compliant DDP image file sets. The user can navigate with convenient Mark Info pop-up and tape transport-like direct Transport Controls. PreMaster CD also produces industry-standard Sonic Studio PQ log files for your duplication house.
