What is OPML?

Outline Processor Markup Language (OPML) is an XML-based format that can be used to exchange subscription lists between programs that read RSS files, such as feed readers and aggregators (more). Below, Softpile offers several OPML directories including links to our RSS feeds.

How to use these feeds and opml files ? Get a feed reader and check it's documentation for issues. We have tested our RSS feeds and opml files against couple of RSS readers such as RssFeedEater, Folio First, NewsInABox, InfoletNews and some RSS validation tools FeedValidator and RSS Validator.

For more details on RSS, start with the RSS 2.0 specification. Softpile is currently using the RSS 2.0 format. The specification includes samples of earlier versions.
