Sescle is a PHP session directory monitoring tool that automatically deletes expired sessions.
To execute a full build, the following components are necessary: txt2tags - version 2.x or higher is required to build documentation php - 4.x or above gcc - tested with 4.1 linux - 2.6.13 or above glibc - 2.4 or above. These prerequisites are available in the Gentoo portage tree, and they may or may not be available as standard packages for other Linux distributions. There is no installation process provided, but the "sescle" executable and "sescle.1" man page can be installed manually.
Until these problems are addressed, which involve known race conditions that may result in arbitrary file deletion brought on by lazy/simple code that does not take account of symlinks, it is highly recommended that sescle only be used where a single user will keep session files, and it should never be employed in a shared hosting environment.
