Targetware is a multiplayer combat flight simulator program for gamers. It allows players to engage in aerial battles with each other in real-time situations.
Targetware's first three flight simulators, Target Rabaul (WWII), Target Korea (Korean War), and Target Flanders (WWI), are all available for easy download from within the Targetware interface. Moreover, Targetware is completely designed to allow enthusiasts to create their own content, including planes, terrain, flight models, and scenario rules.
The system boasts a user-editable design, empowering players to create their own content and upload it to share with other players. Furthermore, players can create entirely new campaign sets, play on other people's servers, or run their own, with their own rules—all with the tools at their disposal.
Communication with fellow Targetware flyers is an integral part of the system, with Targetware accounts granting access to BBS systems, article submissions to the website, and real-time chats with other players. Players can form Squadrons, host flight nights, meet new people, and engage in aerial combat.
Signing up with Targetware grants unlimited online access to all upcoming mods that use the Targetware engine, including Target Rabaul, Target Tobruk, and Richthofen's Skies.
The software requirements include a G4 500 MHz or better (1 GHz recommended), OS X 10.2.8 or later (10.3 recommended), 512 MB RAM or better, 350 MB disk space (more required depending on the number of mods installed), ATI 7000 or NVidia GeForce2 3D Video card, and an internet connection (broadband recommended) with a USB joystick.
In summary, Targetware provides a customizable, interactive, and engaging simulation experience with easy access to mods and tools for user-generated content.
