Convert Trillian logs to Adium transcripts with ease using a simple software tool. Quickly and accurately transfer chat history from Trillian to Adium for archiving and access in one convenient location.
That's where Trillian2Adium comes in. This free and easy-to-use tool allows you to convert all of your Trillian logs into Adium transcripts so you can access them on your Mac.
Here's how it works: First, you'll need to place all of the .xml files that Trillian created into a separate folder. Then, simply copy the Trillian2Adium .app into the same folder and run it. Each .xml file will have its own folder, containing the proper Adium transcripts.
From there, you'll need to copy the transcripts to ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/default/Logs/XXX (replacing XXX with the account you used to create the logs, e.g. ICQ.12345678). Once you've done that, you'll be able to find all of the transcripts in Adium's Transcript Viewer.
Finally, you'll need to delete the folder ~/Library/Caches/Adium to create a new search index for all of the new transcripts you've just added. Overall, Trillian2Adium is a great tool for anyone who's made the switch from PC to Mac and wants to keep their old Trillian logs.
