VoIPerized is a free VoIP program that allows high-quality audio calls to other VoIPerized users using the open source Speex audio codec.
To achieve this goal, the developers of the application have used the open-source Speex audio codec, which guarantees a higher quality of sound than any average telephone call. The software also supports conference calling with unlimited participants, allowing you to conduct meetings with colleagues, friends or family without any limitations.
Other notable features of the application include the ability to adjust the sound bitrate to your needs, adaptive jitter buffering, smart packet-loss concealment, and VAD (Voice Audio Detection) or PTT (Push To Talk). The easy-to-use interface ensures that even if you're using the application for the first time, you can quickly navigate it and take advantage of all its features.
Moreover, if you're worried about missed phone calls, VoIPerized logs them for you. The software also gives you the option to auto-accept or auto-decline calls. If you're concerned about your IP-address, you needn't worry, as VoIPerized displays your own IP-address even when you're behind a router. Finally, VoIPerized supports UPnP (Universal Plug & Play), meaning that the application automatically does any necessary port forwarding (WinXP & UPnP router required).
