"Developers can utilize Zope Sandbox Creation tools and scripts to create a development environment for Zope applications." (19 words)
Unix/Linux users may need to invoke easy_install with sudo privileges. However, this software can be invoked with normal privileges inside a virtual-python or workingenv. Once zopeproject executes the commands, it will download the necessary zc.buildout package that will be used to build the sandbox. After which, zopeproject will call buildout to download Zope and its dependencies. Depending on your machine and connection speed, this might take some time.
When zopeproject finishes, you will find everything you need in the HelloWorld directory for typical Python package development environments. It will include the package itself, helloworld, and a setup.py script, as well as a bin directory containing scripts such as paster, which you can use to run the application. You may also use the helloworld-ctl script, which operates like the zopectl script from Zope instances, running in the foreground of the terminal.
After starting the application, you can navigate to your browser and see the default start screen of Zope, log in with your administrator's credentials, and start your development project. zopeproject eliminates the need for manually building sandbox environments and saves time as you can share the created Python packages with other projects.
