ACRipper

ACRipper is a powerful and efficient command-line CD ripper and ogg encoder that also features a freedb.org client. It's designed to automatically connect to freedb.org server to retrieve CD information. If no information is found, ACRipper allows you to provide a text file. In any case, if no information could be retrieved from freedb.org and no file is found either, then tracks' names are autogenerated.

ACRipper comes with the following options: -e flac|ogg|mp3, -f [file], and -n. Option -n is used to append a counter to the output file names, which is useful to force ogg players to play tracks in the original CD sequence.

To use titles.txt or any CD info file, start at line 1 with the artist name followed by title, genre, track1, track2, and so on.

Invoke ACRipper to first try to use CDDB server. If no info is available, titles.txt will be read:

Force ACRipper to read CD info from titles.txt:

Force ACRipper to read CD info from cdinfo.txt:

Encode to FLAC and read CD info from cdinfo.txt:
> acripper -e flac -f cdinfo.txt
