I recently had the pleasure of using a top-notch software that greatly helped me with my backups. This easily mastered tool allowed me to maintain backups of important system and data files in the ever-popular .zip compression format. With the help of a wizard, I was able to easily create backup sets by supplying the paths and filters for the included and excluded files, specifying the storage folder, compressing ratio, and file locking strategy, and selecting the incremental or differential backup method, among other things.
One of my favorite features of this software is the ability to enable file inclusion on the date-time basis, which allowed me to backup only the new and changed files. Once my settings were configured, all I had to do was press the Backup button or use my favorite Automation utility to start the ABE backup automatically, thanks to the Command-line support.
Restoring files from my backup was simple and straightforward. I was able to easily view and edit their content, as well as import/export features that allowed me to synchronize folders on different PCs and span large backups over multiple disks. The software even had the ability to maintain multiple backup copies and creating self-extracting .zip files.
