Adobe Euro Fonts

I recently had the opportunity to use Adobe's OpenType fonts, and I must say, I was extremely impressed. One feature that caught my attention was the design-sensitive euro currency symbol that comes included in all OpenType fonts from Adobe, with the exception of the pi/ornaments fonts. This means that those who use these fonts do not need to rely on generic euro fonts, which are limited to Type 1 format. It's a convenience that saves time and eliminates the need for a separate font.

For those unfamiliar with the euro currency, it has been in circulation since 1999 and is now used throughout Europe. Adobe's Euro Sans font includes a regular weight that matches the official euro character. Additionally, the Euro Mono font is a condensed version of Euro Sans, tailored to fit monospaced fonts. And, for those using serif faces, the Euro Serif font is an excellent choice. All three of these Adobe PostScript Type 1 fonts are available in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic variations, making them versatile options for designers.

In terms of requirements, Adobe Type Manager or Adobe Type Manager Deluxe are needed to use these fonts effectively. Overall, I found Adobe's OpenType fonts to be a well-rounded and valuable asset to any designer looking to enhance their work with vibrant and functional typography.
