Antennavis is a fantastic OpenGL antenna visualisation toolkit designed specifically for nec2. Developed by Kenneth E. Harker, WM5R in 1998, this software has garnered a lot of positive attention due to its 3D images of antenna patterns. In fact, the 3D images were so impressive that I went a step further to transform it into a useable software package. After some deliberation, I contacted Kenneth to discuss further development, and he agreed to create a project page and website for future versions.
The project page is available on Savannah where users can access a tcl script called antennavis, which utilises the provided TkAnt widget. It is worth noting that in order to use Antennavis, you will need a nec2 binary somewhere in your device's path. The nec2 binary should take filenames for arguments, such as "nec2 input.nec output.nec". If you are unable to meet these requirements, you can always download a statically linked nec2 version from qsl.netor mattsnetwork.
