The AR-Smileys software offers a collection of MSN-compatible icons designed for Pidgin (Gaim) communication software. It contains a vast array of smiley emojis and can be easily installed on the Pidgin platform.
The AR-Smileys package offers a selection of MSN-compliant icons that are designed specifically for use with Pidgin (formerly known as Gaim). This set only includes the smileys that I personally use during chats with my friends - no more, no less. Unfortunately, other icons are not available at this time. However, I do plan on publishing an extended pack in the near future. This pack will include additional MSN-compatible smileys that have been requested by other users. It will also include some more humorous and silly options.
The current version of this set was created using The GIMP. However, for the upcoming 2.0 release, I plan to convert them into SVG format. The only issue at the moment is that layers in Inkscape are not as easily managed as they could be. Even in The GIMP, layer management is not always ideal. The source XCF for these smileys has around 200 layers, which can make them difficult to manage. To combat this issue, I am considering releasing a new version of the smile-generator, which will allow users to create custom smileys.
Regarding the license for this package, it is free for non-commercial use. Users are allowed to modify the package and redistribute it under the same license.
