Arcade Typing Tutor

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Arcade Typing Tutor and I must say it is the most entertaining way to learn how to type on a Mac. The amazing openGL graphics are not only visually appealing but also add to the overall experience of the game.

Loosely based on the classic arcade game Missile Defender, the game requires you to destroy incoming asteroids before they can destroy your strange green ovaloid defenders. This not only offers an entertaining experience but also helps to improve your typing skills.

I would like to point out a cool feature that might add to the utility of the Arcade Typing Tutor. You can customize the word list that the program draws words from. To access the word list, simply right-click on the Arcade Typing Tutor's executable and choose the pop-up menu item 'Show Package Contents'.

A new finder window will appear with one folder title 'Contents'. Within this folder is another folder called 'Resources' which contains a file 'word.txt'. This file contains the words that are used in the game. However, be sure to make a backup before you change this file.

Overall, the Arcade Typing Tutor is a great way to learn to type or just improve your typing skills. So, go ahead and try it out and have fun while doing it!
