Archiplex

Archiplex is a GTK theme that has been developed based on Shiki-Colors. The theme has undergone several changes, including completely removing roundness, introducing new colors for various elements, a distinct panel design, and smaller icons among other updates. Additionally, the theme comes bundled with an Emerald theme.

Now, about GNOME. GNOME is an international effort that aims to build a complete desktop environment with a graphical user interface sitting on top of an operating system created entirely from free software. This includes not only selecting application software but also creating software development frameworks and working on the programs that manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management. GNOME is a part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, including Linux and as an integral part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris.

Initially, the name stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, although this acronym is no longer in use. The GNOME project is keen on making things "just work," while making usability and simplicity a top priority.
