I recently came across Autoroute SMTP (ARS), a software that automatically switches between SMTP servers based on the network you're connected to. If you're like me and have multiple internet service providers (ISPs), you may have faced the problem of having to get an email address from a free mail server, and use its SMTP server to deliver mail, even though your ISP's server would be faster and more convenient.
ARS solves this issue by allowing you to enter one mail server with address localhost (or 127.0.0.1) in your mail client settings. This way, your client establishes a connection with ARS, which automatically switches to the correct server based on your sub-net.
What I liked about ARS was that you have the option to disable automatic server detection or even choose a mail server yourself from a list that you can create by clicking the 'Next' button. This software makes it incredibly easy to send emails and ensures that your letters find their way to the intended recipients.
