Basic Text

I recently had the opportunity to use Basic Text, a versatile software tool for typing up documents and taking notes. This software comes in three flavors: Metal, Document, and Global. While Metal and Document share many similarities, Global has a distinct advantage in that it remains visible above all windows, allowing for easy note-taking in full-screen applications.

Although not particularly powerful, Basic Text boasts a range of basic features that are helpful for everyday use. For example, the software includes a color change function, as well as the ability to select different fonts, apply bold or italics formatting, and underline text. Additionally, Basic Text offers open, save, find, and print options, making it easy to organize and manage your documents.

One of my favorite features of Basic Text is its drag-and-drop functionality. Simply drag a text file onto the window and the software will automatically open the file, saving you time and effort.

Overall, I would recommend Basic Text to anyone looking for a simple, no-frills software tool for document creation and note-taking. Its range of basic features and ease of use make it an attractive option for everyday use.
